I’m a professional photographer based in the high mountains of Hokkaido Japan, in a little town called Niseko.

My passion for photography started at high school in Canberra, Australia where I had one of those inspiring teachers whose lessons stay with you forever. After graduation, I had the choice to study either photography or music and completed a degree in classic guitar performance at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne.

In 2002, I decided immerse myself in the language, culture and lifestyle life of a foreign country and chose Japan in a whim, landing in Hokkaido a week later. Regular trips to Niseko to shoot its snow-covered landscapes and snowsports enthusiasts planted the seed for a mountain obsession and led to a lifelong fascination with the pristine beauty of Japan’s North Island.

I moved to Niseko in July 2006 with no entourage or precious behavior, just an extremely keen eye and genuine enthusiasm for getting the most out of each and every shoot, developing my own recognizable style as an action sports and landscape photographer. My commissions have taken me throughout Japan, across Australia, inside luxury hotels and above the clouds on mountain summits.

My areas of specialization include architectural, stock photography, 360 degree panoramic and winter action for magazines in Japan and internationally.
